OBITUARIES: ’93 GALS

 

 

Cheryl Anderson, 34, of Phoenix, passed away Feb 18, 2008. She was born in 1974 into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan. Anderson attended Camelback High School, Navajo Academy, Phoenix College, and Gateway Community College. She was certified as a Certified Nurses Assistant and was employed with Scottsdale Osborn for six years. Anderson was involved in parent committees in Phoenix, powwow committees, she was a basketball player in women’s basketball.  Survivors included her husband, Ryland Becenti; sons Ryneil Becenti and Riley Becenti; daughter, Rylin Paige Becenti; parents Helen and Ralph Anderson; brothers Terrence Anderson, L. Myra Jesus and Brandon Jesus; and sisters Sharon and Andra Jesus.  Anderson was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Anderson.

 

 

 

OBITUARIES: ’93 GUYS

 

 

Jeffrey Michael Rivera, 32, of Gilbert AZ, passed away January 6, 2008, in a tragic bus accident in Utah. He was born February 21, 1975, in Phoenix AZ, to Celia Edwards and Jim Rivera. Jeff graduated in 1993 from Camelback High School, attended Scottsdale Community College and graduated with a BS degree from University of Phoenix in 2005. He was employed by ACS Inc. as a Senior Exchange Engineer in Phoenix. Jeff previously worked in Pennsylvania, Washington DC and Prague, CZ, making many lasting friendships in each location. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends; snow skiing, target practice, playing kickball, BBQs and spending time with his nephew and niece along with his boxer Morgan. Survivors included his parents, Celia and Russell Edwards; father, Jim Rivera; sisters, Natalie Geise and Lisa Berteaux; and grandmothers, Margaret Cheves, Janice Edwards and Marilyn Durham.
