OBITUARIES: ’77 GUYS
David Allen Barbieri, son of John and Olga Barbieri, was killed May 30, 2010, in a motorcycle accident doing what he loved best. He graduated as most improved student from Camelback High School in Phoenix, AZ. After graduation he served four years in the Marine Corp, earning the rank of Corporal. When he left the service he worked at Sun State Road Equipment Rental for 26 years until he was laid off in December, 2009. Survivors included his sisters, Joyce Dreyer and Joanna Barbieri. David's organ donations was estimated to help 50-60 people. (excerpted from The Arizona Republic, 6/9/2010)
Jeffrey B. Beaubien, 15, of Phoenix, died June 24, 1974, following an auto accident 2 days earlier. He would have been a sophomore in the Fall semester at Camelback High. Survivors included his Camelback High mother, Joyce (Richardson) Stevens ’57 & step-father Steve Stevens; father and step-mother, Warren & Marcia Beaubien; and brothers Warren, Bret & Kevin Beaubien, and Scott Stevens.
Christopher Alan Trenberth, 52, of Tucson passed away on September 6, 2011. Son of Mary and Ray Trenberth of Phoenix, Chris was a native Arizonan. He attended Madison #1 Elementary and was a 1977 graduate of Camelback High. Chris attended Phoenix Community College and Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff. Golf was an important part of his life. The highlight of a trip to England and Scotland with his parents was the opportunity to play the St. Andrews Golf Course. While in Flagstaff, he was introduced to a career in the golf industry, working at the Fairfield Continental Country Club overseeing maintenance of the greens. The career path was set as he pursued opportunities with other golf courses, moving to Tucson in 1990 where he worked for the City of Tucson specializing in the upkeep of their various golf courses. Chris valued the friendship of his many friends and co-workers. Though recent health issues restricted a lot of activity, the internet kept communication open to friends near and far. Survivors included his parents, Mary and Ray Trenberth; and son, Christopher. (excerpted from The Arizona Republic, 9/21/2011)
